Team Management
Manage your OpsBrief organization, invite team members, assign roles, and control who can access your events and settings.
Roles & Permissions
OpsBrief uses role-based access control. Each team member is assigned a role that determines what they can see and do within your organization.
Owner
Full control over the organization. Can manage billing, delete the organization, and transfer ownership.
Admin
Can manage integrations, channels, team members, and organization settings.
Member
Can view events, configure personal digest preferences, and access the dashboard.
Viewer
Read-only access to events and dashboard. Cannot modify any settings.
Inviting Team Members
How to Invite
- 1Navigate to Team in your dashboard sidebar
- 2Click Invite Member
- 3Enter their email address and select a role
- 4Click Send Invite
Invited members will receive an email with a link to join your organization.
Invitation Expiry
Invitations expire after 7 days. You can resend or cancel pending invitations from the Team page.
Managing Members
Change Role
Admins and Owners can change a member's role at any time. Go to Team → Click on a member → Change Role.
Remove Member
Remove a member to revoke their access. Their personal digest preferences will be deleted, but organization data remains.
Transfer Ownership
Owners can transfer ownership to another Admin. This is useful when team leadership changes.
Organization Settings
What Admins Can Configure
- •Integrations - Connect/disconnect Slack, Teams, or Discord
- •Channels - Select which channels to monitor organization-wide
- •Event Types - Configure which event types to detect per channel
- •Team Members - Invite, remove, and manage member roles
Individual members can still configure their personal digest preferences - which channels and event types they want in their daily email.
Enterprise Features
Enterprise plans include advanced team management features:
- SSO / SAML - Single sign-on with your identity provider
- SCIM Provisioning - Automatic user provisioning and deprovisioning
- Audit Logs - Track all admin actions for compliance
- Custom Roles - Create roles with granular permissions
