Getting Started with OpsBrief
Set up your OpsBrief account and start receiving AI-powered daily digests in under 5 minutes.
Quick Start Checklist
1Create Your Account
Getting started with OpsBrief is simple. Visit our registration page and sign up using your work email or through Google/Microsoft SSO.
During registration, you'll create your organization - this is your team's workspace where all events and configurations are stored. You can invite team members later.
💡 Pro tip: Use your company domain email to make it easier for teammates to join your organization later.
2Connect Your First Integration
OpsBrief works by connecting to your team's communication tools. We support Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord.
To connect an integration:
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your dashboard
- Click "Connect" next to your preferred platform
- Authorize OpsBrief to access your workspace (read-only)
- Select which channels you want to monitor
The OAuth connection is secure and encrypted. We only request read access to messages - we never post or modify anything in your channels.
3Select Channels to Monitor
After connecting your integration, you'll see a list of available channels. Select the channels where important team updates happen - typically channels like #engineering, #releases,#incidents, or #announcements.
For each channel, you can configure which event types to detect. Common event types include:
- Releases - New deployments and version launches
- Incidents - Outages, errors, and service disruptions
- Announcements - Team updates and company news
- Feature Launches - New product features and capabilities
Our AI engine will automatically extract these events from your channel messages - no manual tagging required.
4Configure Your Digest Preferences
The final step is setting up your email digest preferences. Each team member can customize:
- Delivery time - Choose when to receive your daily brief (e.g., 8 AM)
- Channels - Select which channels to include in your personal digest
- Event types - Filter by specific event categories
- Severity threshold - Only see events above a certain priority level
Your digest preferences are personal - each team member can customize their own view without affecting others.
