1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using OpsBrief ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
OpsBrief is a communication intelligence platform that connects to workplace communication tools (including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, GitHub, PagerDuty, and Datadog) to monitor channels and services, extract significant events using artificial intelligence, and deliver summarized digests to users.
The Service includes:
- Integration with third-party communication platforms
- AI-powered event extraction and classification
- Customizable topic detection
- Email digest delivery
- Dashboard and analytics features
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:
- Pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
- Provide valid payment information
- Authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will be effective at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change subscription fees upon 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a fee change constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Monitor channels or communications without proper authorization
- Collect or harvest personal information without consent
- Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service

- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
6. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, GitHub, PagerDuty, and Datadog. Your use of these integrations is subject to:
- The respective terms of service of each third-party platform
- Any applicable API usage policies and rate limits
- Proper authorization from workspace/server/organization administrators
- GitHub: Compliance with GitHub's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies
- PagerDuty: Compliance with PagerDuty's Terms of Service and API usage guidelines
- Datadog: Compliance with Datadog's Terms of Service and API usage guidelines
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of third-party platforms. Changes to third-party APIs may affect the Service's functionality.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by OpsBrief and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
8. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract and summarize events from your communications. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content, including event extraction, summaries, and digests, may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or miss important context
- AI systems can make errors in interpretation, categorization, severity assessment, or summarization
- You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it for any decision-making
- AI-generated content should be used as a starting point rather than a definitive source of information
- You should access original source messages through the provided links for full context and verification
- AI processing is performed by third-party providers (such as OpenAI) and is subject to their terms and policies
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content
Important: OpsBrief's AI features are designed to assist with information processing and summarization, not to replace human judgment. You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical business decisions, incident response, or any situation where accuracy is essential. Always verify important information with the original source data.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account termination:
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days
- Certain data may be retained for legal or compliance purposes
- Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPSBRIEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OpsBrief and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- You remain liable for any outstanding fees
- Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which OpsBrief operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
